Stopover in Singapore

I didn’t realise I had a 15 hour stopover in Singapore until I arrived at Changi airport.

As entertaining as the airport in Singapore can be, I decided it would be more fun to go into the city. So I got a shuttle into town and jumped onto their hopon-hopoff tourist bus.

I spent the day on Singapore River, then in Chinatown, where it suddenly starting pouring with rain (see photos), then in the botanic gardens.

It was a nice surprise visit.

A 15 hour stopover that you didn’t notice on your itinerary? That kind of thing would have completely mucked me up 🙂 When I cross timezones and have long stopovers, I get confused about the days. I’ve already told my parents the wrong days to pick me up fromt the airport and overbooked hotel rooms!
