The English aren’t so clean themselves…

dodgy.jpgHaving worked in a couple of jobs that involved dealing with the Australian wheat industry, and having studied international relations, I found the whole AWB scandal acutely embarrassing for Australia’s reputation.

But if you put our reputation on a yardstick against other countries we’re not doing too badly. Even the highly civilised UK has just swept under the carpet a corruption investigation into a defence contract with Saudi Arabia, according to the BBC.

With the integrity of supposedly highly democratic countries like Australia and the UK in the spotlight, we have a long way to go internationally.

To go where, you ask? I’ll leave that for you to decide.
